Course created to meet the changing needs of profession

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS) has introduced a new qualification to its portfolio with the ICAS tax qualification. It will be supported by tax publishing and training experts Tolley.

The qualification structure and syllabus content has been developed in consultation with tax practices to provide the tax skills and knowledge required of a tax professional working in a mixed client environment dealing with individual, corporate and indirect tax matters.

It can be taken as a standalone qualification or in combination with the chartered accountant qualification. Students will begin studying with the institute and Tolley for the ICAS tax qualification in autumn 2011.

For further information, contact Fiona Winter, director (development), CA Education or Simon Groom, head of national tax training, Tolley Tax Training.
