Sport news now.

It has been reported that Diageo, the maker of Guinness and many other delicious beverages, has turned down an offer to move to Switzerland.

The relocation of the company's HQ would have seen about 200 senior executives becoming exempt from income tax (it says here).

Diageo declined to explain why it didn't take up the deal proposed by the Swiss canton of Zug - but I think I know the reason.

The drinks giant feared that by shipping out of the UK it would no longer be eligible to compete for that most prestigious of football trophies, the Taxation cup.
