The Chartered Institute of Taxation has announced the results of its November 2001 associateship examinations. 387 (53 per cent) candidates passed out of a total of 737, with 77 being referred. Thirteen candidates were awarded distinctions. The Institute medal for the best overall performance across all four papers was awarded to Deborah Clarke, who is employed by Baker Tilly, London.

The Association of Taxation Technicians has also announced the results of its November 2001 examinations. 411 (60 per cent) of the 680 candidates who sat the examination passed. Distinctions were awarded to 17 candidates, and the Association medal for the best overall performance was awarded to Suzanne Lindsay, who is with PricewaterhouseCoopers, Bristol.
