It's been yet another week of celebrity-based tax stories.
Former rubbish pop singer Kerry Katona was declared bankrupt, after being unable to pay £82,000 to the Revenue. See Richard's post below for more details.
(Her situation is a real shame... for TV viewers. The buxom harridan will now have to appear in more chilling Iceland adverts to make some desperately needed coin.)
Over in California, Governor Schwarzenegger finally got his finger out re. the state's budget and introduced a three-year 1% sales tax increase - which, by all accounts, is a pretty tough move.
(Although it's hardly a patch on the scene in Predator when, with the help of a really big knife, he nails a baddie to a wall and then quips, 'Stick around!'.)
Finally, still in the States, Kentucky tax officer John Snyder has side-stepped a prison sentence for half a decade of illegally perusing the Internal Revenue Service files of more than 200 stars.
Instead, he got three years' probation, 60 hours' community service and a £535 fine (which works out at about seven months, 12 hours and £107 for every year he stuck his nose in celebrity business).
