At last night's Taxation Awards, as he collected the prize for Tax Personality of the Year, we incorrectly introduced Mr David Taxable as his son, Master Jack Taxable.
We understand that this may have caused embarassment to Mr David Taxable, as his colleagues in the construction industry now keep calling him Jack and asking him what he wants to do when he grows up.
We also understand that we have caused emotional pain and distress to Master Jack Taxable, as he would (in his own words) 'not be seen dead in a penguin suit'.
Taxation deeply regrets any offence that may have been caused by this error, and is arranging to pay an appropriate amount in damages.
