Clearly, you were all too busy (it's late January after all), or your desks are already awash with hi-tech gadgetry.
These are the only rational explanations for the fact that a highly desirable Taxation-branded calculator-clock failed to sell in its eBay auction.
Nevertheless, we at Taxation are pleased that our colleague Heather - she who put up the device for sale - earned a few quid from flogging other tat, about £40 of which will be donated to Cancer Research UK.
Although, we couldn't help but feel a little galled when we learned that something bearing our magazine's name didn't raise its starting price of 49p, but a novelty paperclip was sold for a whopping £2.76.
