I didn't attend this week's CIOT president's luncheon; I wasn't invited.

Far from feeling rejected by the tax world, I feel I've finally been acknowledged as part of it, because – after almost two-and-a-half years as web editor of Taxation – I've received my first email from fraudsters posing as the Revenue.

Okay, the message – ‘Notice of Underreported Income’ – was addressed to Daniel Mullins (who he?), but it appeared in my quarantine folder.
