Allison's mention of Batman has given me a great excuse to resurrect the dusty-but-worth-retelling story of a mother in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Back in 2004, Sara Leisten was told she couldn't name her new son Superman because it would lead to ridicule in later life.
Who put a block on the wacky moniker?
The local tax authorities, that's who.
Which is rather like HMRC telling a couple in the UK that they can't call their baby... oh, I dunno... The Incredible Hulk.
