I gave up ATT training a while ago. My main complaint was that it leaned too much towards practical aspects (i.e. calculating a person's tax liability), and didn't feature enough theory, background and politics - of which, as a journalist, I'm much more in need. Then there was the maths. As I've written before, sums are an anathema to me (as they are to the UK in general - maybe). The other day, I momentarily struggled to subtract four from 11. Okay, I was on a gym treadmill at the time, running at 9.5kmpg on a 0.5 incline, but 11 minus four... Sheesh! (The answer is seven, by the way. I think.)
