On 5 February The Daily Telegraph informed its readers that Craig Oliver the new spin doctor to David Cameron (head of communications’ surely – Ed) is married to Joanna Gosling a ‘regular freelance presenter’ with the BBC which supplies her services through Playa Limited thereby saving considerable amounts of tax.
I remember thinking how can she be freelance in the sense that she isn’t an employee (of the BBC). It’s the sort of distinction that I have spent a lifetime talking to clients about.
Out of curiosity I took a look at Playa Limited at Companies House and found that its registered office was then (since changed) in Crowborough Sussex at the same address as that of a firm of accountants namely Christopher Lunn & Co.
