Money laundering

HM Treasury has published guidance on financial sanctions and information about work done by the asset freezing unit. Businesses registered with HMRC under the Money Laundering Regulations are advised by the department to review their anti-money laundering policies and procedures to check that the risks from financial sanctions have been considered.

The value of the retail prices index for August 2012 is 243.0.

TDSI guide

The latest version of the tax deduction scheme for interest (TDSI) guidance notes has been published.

Meetings

HMRC have made available the latest information on permanent secretaries’ meetings with external organisations, as well as information about hospitality received and business expenses incurred by department board members.
