LexisNexis’s Payroll Alliance has launched an online survey on real-time information, after the payroll management information service’s members expressed concerns about adjustments they have had to make.

LexisNexis’s Payroll Alliance has launched an online survey on real-time information, after the payroll management information service’s members expressed concerns about adjustments they have had to make.

Some software packages allow only one full payment submission per pay cycle, Payroll Alliance has learned, while a number of employers have been unable to reconcile their PAYE payments with HMRC’s Debt Management and Banking – which may be due to mistiming of the employer payment summary or because the software being used does not automatically provide the reconciliation facility.

Employers are invited to help establish the extent of the problems by answering a 13-question poll, which will close on 24 January.

The results of which will be shared with the Revenue. Details relating to particular payroll software products will not be included in the published findings but will be passed in confidence to the tax department.
