Assessing a new standard for ethical behaviour in tax

I previously criticised the Fair Tax Mark (FTM) invented by Richard Murphy last year as part of an article on the tax debate.

A new version of the FTM is being launched as this issue hits your desk and it looks as if many though not all of the criticisms I and others had of the original have been met.

I had a preview of it because I was invited to a roundtable discussion a couple of weeks ago run by The Guardian which is the subject of a report in today’s paper (Thursday 20 February).

The original version was covered by Reuters as follows.
