Celebrating 90 years
It is a privilege to introduce this special 90th anniversary edition of Taxation magazine. We have used the opportunity to look forward and back. We went back to our first edition and looked at the topics that concerned our readers in 1927. It has been a surprise to me how relevant some of those topics remain today and the articles in this issue are each linked to some of the topics mentioned in week one.
But we have also looked forward. We have asked several familiar figures in the taxation world to project ten years forward and asked them for their predictions and hopes for the tax world of 2027. I hope that in our centenary edition we can invite them back to see how good their clairvoyancy skills were.
