Apple Europe agrees to pay further £136m in corporation tax for years up to 26 September 2015.
Apple Europe a UK subsidiary of Apple agreed to pay a corporate tax adjustment of £136m for years up to 26 September 2015 after ‘an extensive audit by HMRC’.
A note to the full accounts to 1 April 2017 for the company prepared by auditor EY states: ‘This payment of additional tax and interest reflects the company’s increased activity and is recognised in the current financial period which ended on 1 April 2017. As a result of this adjustment the company’s corporate income tax payments will increase going forward.’
