VAT Notes 2018 Issue 3

HMRC has confirmed that VAT repayments can be made direct to a business’s bank account through the Bankers Automated Clearing System (Bacs).

Businesses that wish to take advantage of this should provide HMRC with details of their bank sort code and account number using VAT online and ensure the account is in the name of the registered person or company. All future repayments will be made to that account unless the business advises otherwise.

See VAT Notes Issue 3.
