John Newth would like to thank all his friends and professional colleagues who supported him in his sponsored slim for the charity TaxAid. In the end he managed to lose 2 stone (28 lbs), and the charity has benefited, with Gift Aid, to the tune of about £2,000.
Personal benefits have been a delighted GP, better health and, one hopes, prolonged life and working life. John does not intend to regress.
