Fuel benefit
The value of the benefit of free fuel provided by the employer has been announced by the Government in advance of the 2002 Budget.
A Treasury Order was laid on 15 March setting out the fuel scale charges for 2002-03. The Order is normally laid on Budget day but, as Budget 2002 occurs after the beginning of the tax year, it is being announced early.
The 2002-03 rates are as shown in the Table.
