Institute examination results

The Chartered Institute of Taxation has announced the results of its November 2002 examinations. 350 (46 per cent) candidates passed out of a total of 769, with 116 being referred. Seven candidates were awarded distinctions. The Institute medal for best overall performance across all four papers was awarded to Matthew Pettifer, who is employed by Stafford & Co, Cambridge.

The Association of Taxation Technicians has also announced the results of its November examinations. 371 (67 per cent) of the 553 candidates who sat the examination passed. Distinctions were awarded to 24 candidates, and the Association medal for the best overall performance was awarded to Ellen Foster of Hillier Hopkins, Hemel Hempstead.
