TaxCalc revived!

On 15 February Intuit announced that it completed the sale of the TaxCalc self-assessment software brand names to Assured Solution Providers producers of TaxChecker self assessment software. This announcement came just too late to be incorporated in 'Which Software?' Taxation 17 February 2005. Intuit UK will assist ASP in developing tax data converters that allow the transfer of important tax information by TaxCalc users from their tax year 2004 returns into ASP's tax product.
ASP will launch its 2005 product as TaxCalc and this will incorporate features from its own TaxChecker self assessment software as well as from TaxCalc. The software will be called TaxCalc with versions available both for the professional user and private users. The TaxChecker name will continue for the tax reclaim business.
