Psychometric testing

Remember the opening scene in Bladerunner?
“Describe in single words only the good things that come into your mind about... your mother.”
“Let me tell you about my mother...”
Well this is what springs to mind when I think of psychometric testing (PT). Thankfully recruiters using PT aren't generally looking to sort out the replicants from the genuine tax specialists. Nor do that many interviews end with the candidate blowing the interviewer's brains out.  Although PTs do raise a few eyebrows they are less about “how's your father” and more about matching individuals to roles.
