My client invested £14,000 in the Ostrich Farming Corporation Ltd in March 1996, as full payment for one mature breeding adult bird. This operation was something of a scam and the company was put into compulsory liquidation, but the terms of the investment were as follows:
First, there was a specific chick allocation for the initial five years, 20 per year for the first three years and 24 per year for years four and five.
Secondly, the buy back option for the yearling birds during the first five years was £500 each.
