Have qualification will travel. An accounting qualification will take you almost anywhere in the world. UK trained accountants are valuable beings and pop up in all sorts of different countries as do book-keepers and auditors. Tax on the other hand is less international.

Sure all countries operate a tax system but not necessarily with its roots in UK tax law. But all is not lost! Does the word 'global' mean anything to you? This is the buzzword of the early 21st century.

The top firms all emphasise that they do business globally and the current economic climate (bar the recent fall in the world markets) is remarkably buoyant.
