Rolling out the red carpet

Reading Festival University of Reading Reading Football Club these are the among the first hits when I googled 'Reading'. I have to admit to having not visited any of these but I do know that Reading FC is in the Premiership so it must be good.

That about sums up my knowledge of football but Reading Festival is one of the leading festivals and any town that boasts a university usually has a certain oomph that student life brings.

What about the rest of the Thames Valley known also as the UK's Silicon Valley? Well it is a burgeoning area with lots of businesses moving there to take advantage of more reasonable property prices and rents than London yet maintaining proximity to the capital — by train from Reading to Paddington takes about half-an-hour.
