There's only a matter of days to go before Taxation will be accepting nominations for our 2008 awards ceremony, now celebrating excellence in the tax profession for the eighth consecutive year.
Our 8 November issue will officially launch the event — to take place on Thursday 22 May next year — and provide an entry form for the many categories, which include best general tax practice, tax personality of the year, best VAT team, and best tax software.
A full list of categories, for both individual and team prizes, can be found on this website's dedicated Awards page (see the main menu). Entries will be accepted from the launch date until 12 February 2008.
The venue will be the London Hilton on Park Lane, the scene of last year's ceremony, when glamorous newsreader Fiona Bruce presented gongs to recipients including McGrigors LLP (best tax team in a law firm), Mike Warburton (lifetime achievement) and Rebecca Benneyworth (best tax lecturer).
