The Taxation campaign to halt job losses at HMRC has shifted up a gear, with the introduction of www.stopthestaffcuts.co.uk

Stop the Staff Cuts.co.uk will provide regular updates on the magazine's attempt to force a government U-turn on plans for redundancies at the Revenue.

Online offering also allows visitors to register free of charge and then comment on articles start their own message threads and respond to other users' remarks and queries. All opinions are welcome.

The campaign was launched last month with an open letter from Taxation editor Mike Truman to Dave Hartnett HMRC's acting chairman.

It has already drawn an encouraging amount of support. The official e-petition protesting against the proposed redundancies had drawn almost 150 names at the time of writing.

It is available by clicking here and will be open until 1 April 2008.

News of Stop the Staff Cuts' progress will also appear on this site along with opportunities to join the debate over the Government move.
