Rob Ellerby tells RICHARD CURTIS about his year as president of the CIOT

It seems like yesterday but a year ago I interviewed Rob Ellerby as he started out on his year as president of the Chartered Institute of Taxation.

That interview in Taxation outlined his ambitions and hopes for the coming year. Sadly his term of office is now almost over so before he passes his badge of office to president elect Nick Goulding at the AGM on 13 May what better time than this to catch up with him.

Rob said that 'it's been a fabulous year; but it's also been a real juggling act because in addition to my duties when I am wearing my hat as CIOT president I do still have a different hat to wear for my day job as director of national tax training at Ernst & Young.
