I have just read Mark Lee's excellent article A far far better... and feel immensely reassured that the feelings I have carried for some years now are shared by others.
My own career path has been as an Inspector, then tax manager with a middle firm and then running my own business (with my wife who is a chartered accountant) dealing mainly with small family companies.
Despite the differences in background, I completely echo the sentiments expressed in the article, and certainly can't wait to be in a position to give up tax advice. The difference is that I would like out of the tax world altogether.
