I was delighted when I was asked to review this book for two reasons.

First I buy it each year and secondly I was due to have some time at home with my feet up following a minor knee op – all successful and I will soon be dancing again.

The book describes itself as a manual and it is indeed laid out in such a way – regulatory framework followed by sections on insurance retirement investments tax planning and the life cycle.

The book is produced by the financial management and tax teams within RSM Bentley Jennison and as such I think it successfully brings together the twin areas of financial planning and private client tax.

It is aimed at both financial planners and tax practitioners and indeed individuals who wish to review their own affairs.
