Readers of Taxation and HMRC’s Agent Update will be aware of the department’s ‘Learning Together’ roadshow. This is a programme of 40 afternoon events on powers and penalties that HMRC are running across the UK between October and March.

HMRC’s September 2009 Working Together pamphlet explains that ‘the events will bring agents and HMRC compliance officers together to develop a shared understanding of the changes’.
