In my last Taxation article Reversing the charge I mentioned some of the antics of a London-based accountant originally from France called Monsieur Oublier le VAT.

I revealed the fact that Oublier often puts VAT issues to the back of his mind and this produces future problems for him when he has to sort them all out… after the cheval has bolted so to speak.

Well the good news is that Oublier is keen to avoid future mentions in Taxation. He tells me he has been asked for his autograph...
