Do not follow email links

HMRC strongly recommend taxpayers not to follow any links in emails that link directly to a website and suggests they should copy and paste the URLs into their browsers instead.

If taxpayers have any concerns regarding the validity of any e-mails received from HMRC, they should go to the department’s online security pages for more information.
