Scottish pubs and nightclubs are targetted
More Revenue taskforces have been launched to target traders who do not pay the right amount of tax. The latest will focus on:
- Scottish pubs and nightclubs;
- hair and beauty businesses in Northern Ireland;
- the motor trade in the south-west, south Wales, Yorkshire, the north-east and Nottinghamshire;
- restaurants in south Wales and the south-west.
Specialist HMRC teams will visit traders to examine their records and carry out other investigations.
