Economic update follows Budget of U-turns
Chancellor George Osborne will give his update on government plans for the economy on Wednesday 5 December at 12.30pm.
The autumn statement to the Commons will follow the most controversial Budgets of recent years. Measures announced in March resulted in U-turns on taxes affecting hot food, static caravans, charitable giving and church restorations, among other areas.
