Supplementary questions aimed at bolstering HMRC poll

The Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT) has launched an online survey about real-time information (RTI), after criticisms of an HMRC poll covering the ‘on of before’ rule of the new system for reporting PAYE.

CIOT members complained that the Revenue’s offering – which closes on Friday (20 September) – does not provide enough space for additional comments.

In response, the institute has published a short set of supplementary questions to allow payroll professionals to report problems with the ‘on of before’ aspect of RTI and ways around potential difficulties.
