The service – which aims to provide fast and practical advice – is available on 0800 904 7900 from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays), and 8am to 4pm at weekends.

The Revenue says it will:

  • take a pragmatic approach to individuals and businesses who have lost vital records;
  • suspend debt collection proceedings for those affected by the floods; and
  • cancel penalties when the taxpayer has missed statutory deadlines.
