The latest issue of HMRC’s ISA bulletin has been published. Topics covered include: budget amendments to the ISA regulations, stocks and shares to cash ISA transfers, holding cash in a stocks and shares ISA from 1 July, and repayment claims.

ISA bulletin 59

The latest issue of HMRC’s ISA bulletin has been published. Topics covered include: budget amendments to the ISA regulations, stocks and shares to cash ISA transfers, holding cash in a stocks and shares ISA from 1 July, and repayment claims.

NOVA

HMR have updated their guidance on the requirement to notify HMRC about vehicles brought into the UK and how to use the online service (VAT information sheet 6/13: Notification of vehicle arrivals). It includes details of the spreadsheet enhancement which will make it easier for VAT registered businesses to make bulk notifications.

Charities

HMRC are is developing a new digital service for organisations applying to be recognised as a charity for tax purposes. Taxpayers are invited to give feedback on the terminology used in the service by completing a short online survey. Taxpayers will be able to trial the new service by completing their registration details online, rather than using the ChA1 paper form, and giving feedback on using the service.

Stamp taxes

Taxpayers should include a self-addressed envelope when sending their stock transfer forms to the HMRC Stamp Taxes Office.
