The latest agent update contains the usual round-up of news and consultations.
HMRC have announced that they will now make refunds to taxpayers who used debit or credit cards to pay their tax back to the card that was used.
On self assessment the HMRC version of the online return will start to be pre-populated with the individual’s pay tax and P11D details from August. After they have been processed they will be shown on the return under “Information we hold about you”. HMRC are working with commercial suppliers to introduce the capability to third party software as soon as possible.
