Beta version personal tax account launched

HMRC have launched a test version of the personal tax account as a private beta. 

HMRC have launched a test version of the personal tax account as a private beta. 
 
For now the account will provide:
 
  • a feature to view the individual’s name National Insurance number and address;
  • a tax estimate service telling the taxpayer how much they should expect to pay through PAYE and allowing them to check the information on which the estimate is based. This replaces the paper P2 tax coding notice; and
  • links to income tax online forms on GOV.UK.
More features including self assessment tax credits and National Insurance services will be added to the account in the months ahead. HMRC will test the account with taxpayers at every stage of its development. At the same time they will learn...
