Concerns over HMRC plans for mandation of MTD.


  • More than 3 000 responses were made to the MTD consultations.
  • People support the digital concept but not the way HMRC wants to impose it.
  • HMRC must present a convincing case about cost savings that MTD will provide.
  • Mandation is simply the wrong approach.
  • MTD must not add another administration burden to business.
