When I visited the London office of TaxAid I went armed with pen and paper so that I could make notes and not have to rely on my memory. It was useful to be able to jot down some of the facts and statistics from conversations I had with among others Valerie Boggs TaxAid’s advice director but what summed up the ethos and aims of the charity and most eloquently were the thank-you cards lining a desk partition.
