Put your client admin into motion.
- For clients who do business with Australia check whether they will be affected by the changes to the GST rules from next July. If they are they will have to register with the Australian tax office.
- Remind clients who are in the property development business about the conditions for zero-rating to apply (VATA 1994 Sch 8 group 5 note 16(a). If an ‘existing’ building remains it will not apply.
- Making Tax Digital is not dead but the timetable has been eased. Despite this relaxation why not begin talking to clients about how they can use technology to digitise record-keeping? ...
