HMRC plans to improve business tax accounts.

A number of changes to the business tax account will improve the accuracy and design of employer PAYE liabilities and payments information, HMRC announced in its latest Employer Bulletin.

In August, the enhanced version was tested with a group of business tax account holders. They should now be able to see their outstanding charges and credits on the homepage and a new annual statement page showing charges, credits and payments for the current tax year.

During September a new monthly statement will be available and, in October, the annual statement and monthly breakdown will be further improved.

Other articles in the bulletin cover reporting PAYE in real time, optional remuneration, tax codes, expenses exemption, paying HMRC and the construction industry scheme. For details, see here.
