  • If a client receives an accelerated payment notice from HMRC ensure that the figures are correct and the conditions for its issue are satisfied. Also it would be worth checking the notice is genuine.

 

  • When clients buy residential property with a view to carrying on a trade consider the rate of stamp duty land tax due. If the trade results in the building no longer being a dwelling the higher rate will apply.
