There is some improvement on mid-size companies’ customer experience of HMRC according to a report. The research commissioned by the department and carried out by Kantar Public found that 55% of such businesses rated positively their overall experience of dealing with HMRC in the previous 12 months up from 51% in the 2015 survey.

HMRC has treated mid-size businesses as a distinct group since 2012 in order to deal with them more effectively. The mid-size business unit was opened in April 2014 and covers 170 000 organisations that turn over more than £10m and have 20 or more employees. More...
