ADIT results

The Chartered Institute of Taxation announced that 459 candidates passed at least one advanced diploma in international taxation (ADIT) exam in June 2018. Advisers in 73 countries and territories now hold the qualification and 194 students have completed the diploma in the past 12 months. Fully 643 students sat exams in 50 cities including for the first time Barcelona Dar es Salaam and Hanoi.

Single market

VAT Notice 725: the single market has been updated with a link to guidance on how to make changes to VAT registration details including return periods (paragraph 17.9).

Health professionals

Physiotherapist independent prescribers and podiatrist independent prescribers have been added to the list of ‘relevant practitioners’ at paragraph 3.2.3 of VAT Notice 701/57: health professionals and pharmaceutical products.
