AAT creates new guidance for Making Tax Digital for VAT.
The Association of Accounting Technicians, the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, the Association of Taxation Technicians, the Chartered Institute of Taxation and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners have produced an initial engagement letter schedule for Making Tax Digital for VAT. The document contains information to help their members when advising clients who are undertaking VAT activities under HMRC’s new MTD systems.
The document is designed as a benefit for members with clients who have to submit VAT returns because their taxable turnover exceeds the VAT registration threshold or who have turnover that does not exceed the threshold but who have opted in to MTD for VAT.
