Employment allowance
The number of employers claiming the employment allowance fell slightly in 2018-19 to 1.175 million from 1.178 million the previous year. Almost a third are based in two regions with London having the most employers at 18%.

Child trust funds
HMRC is consulting on two sets of draft regulations to ensure that funds in maturing child trust fund accounts can retain their tax-advantaged status after September 2020 and when transferred to an individual savings account (ISA) will be disregarded for the purposes of the annual ISA subscription limit.
