Treaty shopping

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD)has published its fourth peer review report assessing the actions taken by jurisdictions to prevent tax treaty shopping and other forms of treaty abuse under action 6 of the OECD/G20 base erosion and profit shifting project.

Coronavirus tests

The Finance Act 2021 (Modification of Section 26) (Coronavirus) Regulations SI 2022/275 extend the income tax exemption for employer-provided or reimbursed coronavirus tests for the 2022-23 tax year. The Social Security Contributions (Disregarded Payments) (Coronavirus) Regulations SI 2022/276 operate to extend the National Insurance disregard.
