Saffery LLP has hired Ami Jack as a partner and head of the firm’s national tax team.
Ami brings over 20 years’ experience advising on the full spectrum of professional and regulatory matters relating to tax, with a background in corporate tax and financial services.
Before joining, Ami spent seven years at S&W (previously Evelyn Partners and Smith & Williamson before that) as head of national tax, and before that was with a big four firm.
In addition, Ami has worked with and advised in relation to venture capital, funds and corporate investment vehicles, as well as areas of personal tax, such as inheritance and succession.
National tax partner Sean McGinness said: ‘Ami is the perfect person to equip our team of tax professionals with the most up-to-date insights into the evolving UK tax landscape. She also brings extensive experience in risk management for tax and will be an asset to the firm.

BKL has appointed two new tax directors: Stephen Baker as employment taxes director and Sam Inkersole, an internal promotion, as tax consultancy director.
Stephen has joined Wilson Wright, part of BKL, from PwC. He has more than 20 years’ experience advising employers on how to structure and manage their employment tax affairs and will be developing a new, specialist area of employment taxes at BKL. His expertise includes employment status, the off-payroll workers’ rules, PAYE and salary sacrifice.
Sam has been at BKL since 2015, when he joined as an audit and accounts trainee. He has focused solely on tax consultancy since 2019, specialising in cryptocurrency, mergers and acquisitions activity and family wealth structuring.
Richard Johnson has joined Eversheds Sutherland as partner in its Leeds office. He brings a wealth of experience, particularly in real estate and employment tax. Richard is rejoining the firm – he completed his training there – as a partner after a seven-year tenure at DLA Piper.
He advises on complex real estate transactions, corporate and employment tax matters, and M&A, including pre-transaction structuring, drafting and negotiation of transaction documents, and post-completion integration and separation.

Equiom Group has hired Mark Lindsay as head of employee retirement and reward services and Natalie McGinness as director within the employee retirement and reward services team.
With a career spanning over 25 years, Mark brings experience in international pensions, employee benefits, savings plans, and share schemes. As a qualified solicitor and seasoned trustee, he has supported multinational organisations across the Channel Islands, Europe, the UAE, Asia, and the Americas. His appointment will focus on driving the global strategy and aligning best practices across the group.
Natalie has worked in employee reward services since 2008, focusing on the development, implementation, and sale of international employee compensation and incentive plans. She will play a key role in service enhancement, operational excellence, and regulatory oversight.
Morgan Lewis has recruited Andrew Callaghan as a partner to represent clients on the tax aspects of domestic and international corporate and finance transactions, as well as provide structuring and consultancy advice. Andrew arrives from Milbank and is resident in the firm’s London office. He has a diverse client base that includes institutional investors, management teams, and portfolio companies.

Forvis Mazars has appointed Raj Bhundia as a tax partner in its London office.
As part of the specialist tax services team, he will focus on growing this area of the business. He will also be responsible for developing the firm’s short term business traveller proposition.
Raj joins from EY where he was a partner in financial services. While there, he created and led the short term business traveller and employment tax services teams in the EMEIA financial services market.
Jerroms Miller Specialist Tax has hired Pippa Taylor as VAT manager. She will oversee VAT advisory projects, ensuring seamless compliance with ever-evolving legislation while delivering expert guidance to a diverse portfolio of clients.

Moore Kingston Smith has promoted Mandy Settle and Adam Fullerton to partner. Mandy, who is based in Redhill, specialises in audit, tax and business advisory, with a focus on the manufacturing and construction sectors. Adam, who is based in the City, advises across audit, independent examinations, accounts, tax compliance and advisory services.
The firm has also recruited Rhea Lucia-Hennis as a partner and head of tax operations. With experience in operations, change management and technology innovation, she leads initiatives that support the growth and alignment of the firm’s diverse tax teams.
Andersen LLP has hired Robbie Wigley-Jones as partner and global mobility EMEA strategy and growth leader.
With 38 years’ experience in global mobility, most of them at PwC, Robbie advises on cross-border tax, international reward, pensions, global employment companies, social security, remote working, global mobility operating models, business-traveller management, and new-country entry.

Tania Dimitrovich has joined Armstrong Watson as tax partner. She brings more than 20 years’ corporate tax experience to the team and will lead the firm’s tax practice in Manchester.
Tania joins after 13 years with KPMG, where she spent the last five as a tax director. She held various roles at the big four firm and worked with diverse clients and sector specialisms, including tax risk management and governance, real estate and transactions, and the public sector.
After training with HMRC as both a corporation tax inspector and chartered tax adviser, Tania worked as a customer relationship manager for some of the largest businesses in the south west. She appreciates that businesses seek practical, accessible tax advice that informs commercial decisions and enjoys working with clients to deliver this.
Tania said: ‘I’m looking forward to being able to build a local team and help the Manchester office grow.’

South west accountancy firm Milsted Langdon has welcomed Jon Miles as tax partner.
He brings more than 20 years' tax experience and specialises in advising owner-managed businesses, particularly where personal and corporate tax intersect. He also supports private individuals on various tax matters along with other specialists as required.
His areas of expertise include research and development tax credits, share schemes, such as employee ownership trusts, company reorganisations and reconstructions, and tax issues relating to sales, acquisitions and cross-border tax issues.

Joining from Howard Kennedy LLP, James has more than 20 years’ experience advising clients on tax issues facing their businesses and transactions.
His core practice includes corporate, real estate and financing transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, group reorganisations, joint ventures, venture capital and private equity from both a UK and cross border perspective.
His clients include multinational and private companies and their shareholders, financial institutions, funds and private equity houses, including technology, media and comms, and retail.
